Lots of clinic. Good catchment area: Marines, Sailors, Retired, etc. 1 day per week dedicated education, starts at UCSD, rest at NMCSD - intense and impressive. Good group of residents - all friendly.
Currently under renovation. Looks like its going to be a very nice facility.

Multiple BOQs in the area: Coronado would be the first choice. There is also Point Loma and the 32nd St base. Call ahead for a reservation. You'll need to check in to get a Certificate of No Availability (CNA) in order to get per diem for a hotel.

If on clerkship with rental car you need: 1. driver's license 2. insurance 3. rental agreement 4. ID 5. smog check, on and on
Skip all that and park in patient parking - no one will bother you.
