Fast Facts 2010 February
You get the results about two days after MEPS alomst always and the recruiter will just say all your paper work checked out and you passed the physical. If he doesn't pass the HIV test the recruiter will have to call him or a doctor sometimes both will tell him he has HIV and that he is on the national register list for HIV if he lives in a state which a positive HIV test must be reported. Which disqualifies him from the military . I don't know why it is shorter than the normal HIV test time, but it is. They never show you any results from the tests even if you are positive. I believe if you live in a state that requires them to report it the state mails you a letter saying you have HIV. Doesn't really matter, because you already know. How can they not contact you by phone when your recruiter has called your phone at least 5 times before you went to MEPS or you have contacted the recruiter 5 times before by phone.Past partners of a person with HIV positve are not required to be told they slept with somebody who has HIV.Military does not take two weeks for a HIV test that is only for civilians anybody who has ever enlisted knows that.28-33 states require you to report HIV positive test not sure the exact amount, because it isn't the easiest information to find on the internet. If people knew you had to report HIV positive test in some states a lot less would get the test done.
